Our History

Ulf J. Lindahl formed Currency Research Associates LLC in 2020. Ulf established the firm after 40 years as CEO, CIO and Co-Founder of A.G. Bisset in 1981. He has authored Review of Emerging Trends since 1984. Ulf developed the Proprietary Momentum-Models in 1983. Currency Research Associates acquired the Review, Models and all Intellectual Property from A.G. Bisset in 2020.

The firm's objective is to provide strategic and tactical analysis and advice on the major equity, fixed income, commodity, and currency markets based on the firm's proprietary models and research via the Review of Emerging Trends.

Ulf J. Lindahl

Ulf began his investment career on Wall Street in 1977.

He co-founded A.G. Bisset in 1981 where he developed the models that are at the core of the firm's research. Ulf has been a speaker at numerous investment conferences in the U.S. and in Europe on currencies and risk management. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Barron's, and other prestigious financial publications.

Fred J. Gatling

Fred Gatling provides marketing, product development, and client servicing through Edge Capital LLC where he is the Managing Partner. He has more than 30 years of currency and macro experience having held positions with Bank of America, Salomon Brothers, OSV Partners, Quest Alpha Strategies, and Whetstone Capital. Fred holds a BBA and an MA in Economics from Kent

State University.
